Mass Effect: Andromeda’s latest media shows off the new galaxy’s golden worlds. Each of the seven habitat worlds feature a unique and compelling setting.
A big part of Andromeda’s promised new gameplay revolves around discovering new planets. Humans are looking for a new home in the Andromeda galaxy. Players will have to explore each habitat and determine the world’s viability for settlement outposts. This process includes eliminating unforeseen threats, allying with indigenous populations, and solving environmental problems.
Establishing new settlements will allow the pathfinder (the player) to wake more people from cryosleep. Players will be able to choose who can wake up. Different groups, like scientists or engineers, will provide different passive effects for players.
In the featured video, a pathfinder science officer mentions that “some worlds may already be the sovereign soil of an existing culture – a concern we will need to treat with respect.” No doubt, there will be some interesting ethical decisions revolving around these existing cultures.
Mass Effect: Andromeda launches March 21 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
